Just a few words about the owner of Lima Accommodations, Ursula Pradel Franklin, and her husband, Michael Segedy. Ursula and Michael have lived abroad most of their adult lives. Michael is an American/Peruvian citizen who grew up in the American mid-west and after teaching college and high school for a few years in the States, accepted a teaching position in Lima, Peru at Colegio Franklin Delano Roosevelt. It was in Lima that he met Ursula. Shortly after they married, both of them accepted jobs at American School in Rabat, Morocco and traveled extensively throughout Europe and the Middle East while living in Morocco. A few years later they decided to move to Israel where they remained for five years. In 2004 they moved to Asia where Michael was employed first as a literature teacher and later as a high school IT coordinator. Ursula took a break from education and spent her time in Asia emersing herself in the culture. Their time living abroad on four different continents has provided them with many challenges and rewards. While living overseas Michael continued to publish academic articles as well as a novel entitled Hampton Road (He is soon to release his second novel, Evil's Root, a political thriller set in Peru). Since returning to Peru, Ursula runs Lima Accommodations, and Michael spends most of his time reading, writing, and playing the guitar. Not a bad life! If you would like to read Michael's novel, it is availablein at Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble. |
